VaultSafe — Terms of Service

Effective Date: 2026-04-12

By using VaultSafe (“we”, “our”, “us”), you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.

2. Use of VaultSafe

VaultSafe is a privacy-first SaaS tool that helps you manage personal files and interact with them via AI.

You agree not to:

  • Upload or share illegal, offensive, or copyrighted content.
  • Use the platform for malicious purposes (spamming, scraping, attacking systems, etc.).

3. Subscription & Billing

VaultSafe offers a single subscription plan:

VaultSafe Subscription — $5.49/month

  • 10 million weighted tokens per month.
  • 7-day free trial for new users — cancel anytime during the trial at no charge.
  • Subscriptions are purchased exclusively through the VaultSafe mobile app (iOS App Store / Google Play Store).
  • Payments are processed by Apple or Google as part of their in-app purchase systems.
  • Unused monthly tokens roll over to the next month, up to a maximum of 60 million tokens (approximately 6 months of accumulation).
  • Each monthly credit is valid for 1 year from the date it was added.

Booster Packs — $7.50 for 10 million tokens

  • Available as in-app purchases in the VaultSafe mobile app.
  • Stackable — you can purchase multiple boosters at any time.
  • Booster tokens are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
  • Monthly tokens are always consumed first; booster tokens are used only after your monthly allowance is exhausted.

Document processing (OCR, analysis, indexing, extraction) is free and does not count toward your token allowance.

4. Free Trial & Cancellation

  • Free trial: New users receive a 7-day free trial. If you cancel during the trial period, you will not be charged.
  • Cancellation after trial: You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no further charges will be made after that.
  • After subscription ends: You retain read-only access to all your existing files and data. Uploading new files and using AI chat features require an active subscription.
  • Data retention: Your data is kept indefinitely. You can re-subscribe at any time to restore full access.

Example: If your billing cycle is from April 10th to May 9th, you can cancel anytime before May 9th. Your plan will remain active until May 9th and will not renew. If you resume later, your new billing cycle starts from the date you re-subscribe.

5. Fair Usage Policy

To ensure fair and stable service for all users:

  • You agree not to use more resources than allowed by your plan.
  • VaultSafe may monitor usage patterns to detect abuse or unfair resource consumption.
  • If your usage impacts system health or exceeds reasonable thresholds:
    • We may throttle, limit, or temporarily suspend access.
    • In cases of sustained abuse, we reserve the right to terminate the account.

6. Data Rights & Ownership

You own your data. VaultSafe does not claim ownership of content you upload.

We only process data to deliver services like file management, search, and AI-based support.

You are responsible for ensuring the legality of content you upload.

7. Privacy & EU (GDPR) Compliance

VaultSafe is GDPR-aligned for users in the EU:

  • We collect only necessary data for authentication and service delivery.
  • You have the right to access, delete, or request a copy of your data at any time.
  • Data is hosted securely on AWS, encrypted both at rest and in transit.
  • No data is stored on local devices. Internal teams have zero access to user content.

8. Modifications & Updates

We may update the Service, pricing, or these Terms at any time with notice.

Continued use after updates means you accept the changes.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account:

  • For violations of these Terms.
  • If your usage breaches our fair usage policy or impacts service stability.
  • On request by legal authority.

10. Shipping and Delivery Policy

VaultSafe is a digital platform. We do not ship or deliver any physical materials.

All communications are handled electronically via the email address you provide, or through the VaultSafe app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in accordance with these laws.
