App package architecture

Each app is a self-contained package (folder or zip archive) that encapsulates everything needed for deployment and execution:

• App metadata — Name, developer information, pricing model (free or subscription-based), and distribution settings (default installation vs. opt-in).

• Agent prompt — Advanced instructions that guide our AI models to extract app-specific structured data from document metadata. Prompts leverage sophisticated few-shot learning techniques and structured output capabilities. Critical security guarantee: Prompts operate exclusively on pre-extracted metadata; they never access raw files or user credentials.

• Data schema — Type-safe definition of extracted data structure (e.g., { person_name: string, date: ISO8601, source: string }). Schemas enable validation, type safety, and future extensibility.

• Widget configuration — UI presentation layer defining how extracted data is displayed: widget type (list, timeline, dashboard), sorting/grouping rules, display fields, and user-facing labels.

Unified format: app_package = metadata + agent_prompt + schema + widget_config

This single-package approach ensures consistent deployment, execution, and maintenance across our infrastructure—whether the app is developed by VaultSafe’s research team or third-party developers.
